but yea the concept i had looks ipodish thats why i kinda degraded the tech to actually reading the credit card thats inside the wallet. each slit has a smartchip reader inside to detect what kinda credit card you have. also you put your own driver license if the tech ever developes to that will be able to read it and show in the front. The tap and thing you were talking about is already incorparted in the design by having it in the back. It's called visa wave, so the thing about it is you can tell the wallet in the lcd screen wich credit card you wanna use and just wave.

o one more tip the photos are hot but left photo is blurry, you should play with bokah more.

if you dont have it already get a 50mm 1.8 lens. the cheapest and one of the best lens canon makes. roughly around 75 dollars. bad built but great quality photos and great bokah.

i gotta get back in my photography game. i want a new 40D waaaah and a 70-200mm 2.8 lens. yum. maybe this winter -=]

well about the job, i got extremely lucky. To be a graphic designer i think you have to be a smart buisness person and know how to sell yourself. As for the people who don't have a job ethier they just suck or they don't know how to talk. Graphic design is a hard job to get right away but not impossble. When at FIT take advantage of everything they have to offer you, lectures, classes, meetings, clubs. If you can take advantage of that you'll do fine. Make yourself more aware of things from history, culture, science ect. Graphic design isnt about just making cool little graphics, every little piece has to have some kind of meaning into it. Why do this line, why use this picture, why use this color pallete, why this font size? why that much spacing between the letters and so on and so on. If you know how to explain yourself and back up everything you say. You'll do great.

Another advice is hang out with the best and stay away from the slackers and yea dead weight. Don't get influence with people that don't come in or just have a bad attitude in design. Hang out with people better than you and always keep an open mind the critique. If you can't take a critique then i suggest a different major for you.

Your going to a well known school, it's not SVA, or PRATT.. HA but they have a good program and with everything just try to soak up everything and dont be discourage about people who you think is better. Just stay hungry for new ideas and fresh concepts. Graphic Designers are one of the most intelligent people out there because of how much they have to know. They have to research new things every time a new project comes in wether it be the new cocola ad or a poster for NASA you'll never know which is what makes this major so interesting.

Good luck to you man but i'm sure you'll do fine, one thing to look up over the summer that i wish someone told me before i graduate is research on typography. It's one of the most important tool graphic designers have to learn that and the grid system. Ha. Also step up your game in the interactive area and you'll be better than 70% of the graphic designers in your class because you know something other than print.
